Job Description
Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc seeks a Medical Technologist to support our Laboratory Services team in a fast-paced Healthcare & Medical Services environment. In this role, you will perform high-complexity testing across chemistry, hematology, and microbiology, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic results. Responsibilities include quality control, instrument maintenance, and strict adherence to CLIA/CAP and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with clinicians and fellow technologists while contributing to continuous process improvements. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex testing in chemistry, hematology, and microbiology according to standard operating procedures
- Accurately analyze, interpret, and verify test results, promptly reporting critical values
- Ensure quality control, instrument calibration, and preventive maintenance are performed and documented
- Maintain strict compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory and safety standards
- Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians, and laboratory staff to support patient diagnosis and care
- Troubleshoot analytical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and reporting delays
- Participate in process improvement, validation, and implementation of new testing methods
- Document all activities in the Laboratory Information System with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Support training and mentoring of junior technologists and laboratory assistants
- Uphold a culture of innovation, teamwork, and reliability in a fast-paced lab environment
