Electro-Mechanical Technician

Smurfit WestRock seeks an Electro-Mechanical Tech to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-speed paper and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. You'll diagnose electro-mechanical issues, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, calibrate sensors and drives, and support equipment upgrades to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency. Working closely with operations and engineering, you'll help minimize downtime, document work in a CMMS, follow strict safety and LOTO procedures, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical and packaging machinery to minimize downtime
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, conveyors, and related systems
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and manuals
• Calibrate and replace sensors, actuators, and other control components
• Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of production equipment
• Use CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance history
• Collaborate with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
• Follow all safety, LOTO, and environmental procedures and standards
• Identify and suggest continuous improvement opportunities for processes and equipment
• Assist in training operators on basic equipment care and troubleshooting
