Hazardous Materials OTR Truck Driver

Clean Harbors seeks an OTR Class A Driver to support its Transportation & Logistics team. This role hauls hazardous and industrial waste across long-haul routes while upholding strict safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities include operating Class A equipment, following DOT/FMCSA and HAZMAT regulations, completing logs and manifests, and conducting pre/post-trip inspections. Drivers represent Clean Harbors at customer sites, ensuring professional service, regulatory compliance, and adherence to our safety-first, environmentally focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailer on OTR routes transporting hazardous and industrial waste
• Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and HAZMAT regulations
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate ELD logs, manifests, and required transport documentation
• Follow Clean Harbors safety protocols and environmental standards at all times
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and facility staff
• Secure loads properly and verify correct labeling and placarding of hazardous materials
• Report incidents, mechanical issues, and near-misses promptly
• Adhere to route plans while adjusting safely to weather and traffic conditions
• Represent Clean Harbors' values of integrity, teamwork, and service excellence on the road
