Clinical Laboratory Technician

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine and specialized clinical testing in a high-volume medical laboratory. The technician will receive, label, and process patient specimens; operate automated analyzers; follow strict quality control and safety procedures; and document results accurately in the LIS. Working closely with technologists and pathologists, this role supports timely, reliable diagnostic information for hospitals and physicians. Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and accurately label patient specimens according to laboratory protocols
• Perform routine and specialized clinical tests using automated and manual methods
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers
• Perform and document quality control, calibration, and preventive maintenance
• Enter and verify test results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) with high accuracy
• Adhere to CLIA, CAP, and CPL policies for safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
• Communicate critical or unusual results promptly to clinicians and supervisors
• Collaborate with technologists, pathologists, and support staff to ensure timely turnaround of tests
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper reagent and supply inventory
• Participate in ongoing training and competency assessments to support quality improvement.
