Job Description

Brightview Senior Living, a leader in independent living, assisted living, and memory care, seeks an Activities Director to create engaging, person-centered programs that enhance residents' health, happiness, and sense of community. In this on-site role within our Community & Social Services team, you will design and lead daily recreational, social, and wellness activities for seniors, including those with memory care needs. You will collaborate closely with nursing and care teams, supervise activity staff and volunteers, and coordinate special events that reflect our culture of compassion, respect, and excellence in senior care. Ideal candidates bring senior care experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for improving quality of life for older adults.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead daily recreational, social, and wellness activities for independent living, assisted living, and memory care residents.
  • Develop person-centered activity plans based on residents' interests, abilities, and care needs.
  • Coordinate special events, outings, and intergenerational programs to foster social engagement.
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and care teams to support overall resident wellness goals.
  • Train, schedule, and supervise activity assistants and volunteers.
  • Monitor resident participation, document outcomes, and adjust programs as needed.
  • Ensure activities meet regulatory and safety standards for senior living communities.
  • Engage families and the broader community in programs and events.
  • Manage activity budget, supplies, and vendor relationships.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence consistent with Brightview's values.
