Job Description
Description:
* Analyze production drawings, CAD models, and work orders to develop, test , and optimize CNC programs, ensuring accurate dimensions and efficient production cycles.
* Utilize CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Rhino, Alphacam & CAM software) to translate designs into machine-readable code.
* Determine, select, and manage appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feed rates for wood components.
* Simplify machining time to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Support the shop with technical questions and troubleshooting.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and the Production Manager.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a CNC programmer in architectural millwork and casework.
* 5 years' experience in AutoCad.
* 5 years' experience in Rhino
* 5 years' experience in Alphacam or other CAM software
* Experience with Homag CNC machines is a plus.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Excellent oral and written communication
* Must be able to work overtime when needed
* Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision
