Recycling Technician

Quad is seeking a Recycling Technician to support sustainable IT and production operations in our marketing experience environment. In this role you will sort, process and track recyclable materials, with a focus on electronics, print byproducts and packaging. You will operate balers and compactors, safely handle e waste, and coordinate pickups with recycling vendors. The technician monitors material quality, maintains clean, safe work areas, records weights and volumes, and partners with operations and IT teams to improve recycling workflows, meet environmental standards and support Quad's innovation and continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities

• Sort and process recyclable materials including e-waste, print byproducts and packaging
• Operate balers, compactors and related recycling equipment safely
• Handle and store electronic waste in compliance with environmental and safety standards
• Record material weights, volumes and shipments for tracking and reporting
• Coordinate pickups and schedules with recycling and disposal vendors
• Inspect materials for contamination and maintain quality standards
• Maintain clean, orderly and safe recycling and waste-handling areas
• Collaborate with operations and IT teams to improve recycling workflows
• Support sustainability, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow Quad policies and OSHA/environmental regulations
