Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Emergency Services

Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage in Psychiatric Emergency Services. This role involves providing care to a diverse patient population including adults, children, and adolescents. The position offers flexible shift options and the opportunity to work in a high-volume emergency treatment program.

Practice Info

• Approximately 1000 patients per month are seen in the Client's Emergency Treatment Services program.
• Actual number of patients per 8-hour shift varies but can be between 8-16 patients per shift.
• More patients would be seen in a 12-hour shift.
• There is an electronic medical record system.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric emergency services.
• See all patients who come in the door, including adults, children, and adolescents.

Shift & Schedule

• Could be day shifts and/or night shifts and possibly some weekend coverage.
• Most likely 12 hour shifts, but possibly 8 hour shifts which could be 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am, or 4pm-midnight or midnight to 8am.
• Monday-Sunday.

Requirements

• Board Certification is required.
• Client will consider adult Psychiatrists who are experienced with children & adolescents of all ages.
• Must be computer literate.
