Senior Industrial Electrical & Controls Specialist - Mining & Materials Production

CalPortland is seeking a Senior Electrical Specialist to support mining and materials production operations. In this role, you will lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of electrical and control systems for heavy industrial equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams on capital projects and process improvements, contribute to sustainable energy and reliability initiatives, and help drive a strong safety culture in a collaborative, growth-focused environment with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical maintenance and troubleshooting for mining and processing equipment at Cal
• Portland facilities
• Analyze and repair high- and low-voltage systems, motors, drives, and control circuits to ensure safe, reliable operation
• Develop and update electrical schematics, documentation, and preventive maintenance plans
• Support installation, commissioning, and optimization of new electrical and automation systems
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to improve equipment performance and energy efficiency
• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards and participate in safety audits and training
