Food Service Kitchen Manager

New Horizon Foods is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead daily food service operations in a fast-paced, contract dining environment. You will oversee scratch-made menu execution, food production, inventory, ordering, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. The Kitchen Manager will schedule, train, and coach staff, ensuring a collaborative, respectful culture and excellent service for residents, patients, students, and guests. This role partners closely with clients and leadership to maintain quality, control costs, and support continuous improvement of the dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and food production for multiple service periods
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
• Lead, schedule, train, and coach kitchen staff to support a team-oriented culture
• Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to control costs and reduce waste
• Execute and maintain scratch-made menus and recipes to company standards
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and timeliness of service
• Collaborate with clients and internal leadership to address feedback and improve service
• Track and manage labor and food costs within established budgets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
• Support new program rollouts and continuous improvement initiatives in dining services
