Distillation Operator

Job Description Job Description Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading flavor manufacturer in Lakeland, FL, is seeking Distillation Operators to join their team! This is a dynamic role in the flavors industry with opportunities to grow and work in a fast-paced, safe environment.

Distillation Operator Job Summary:

• Pay: $22.00 per hour
• Shifts Available:
  3rd Shift (9:30pm - 5:30am, M-F w/ OT)

Distillation Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate distillation processes and associated equipment according to standard procedures.
• Monitor computer readings and manually adjust stills as needed.
• Perform in-process testing and obtain samples to ensure product quality.
• Record all production activities in process orders and log books.
• Properly label, store, and transfer inventory using barcode scanners and SAP.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and equipment cleaning as necessary.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment in compliance with GMP, ISO, FSSC 22000, and OSHA standards.

Distillation Operator Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, particularly in distillation or related processes, preferred.
• Experience with forklifts and barcode scanners is preferred.
• Basic computer skills required; SAP experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions with moderate supervision.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical as part of the pre-employment process.
