Job Description

PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies, a PCC Structurals company, seeks a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support our advanced metal casting manufacturing operations. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain facility instrumentation, control systems, and automation for melt, heat treatment, and support equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs, optimizing process control, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, supporting capital projects, and driving reliability and continuous improvement in a high-precision, aerospace-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain facility instrumentation and control systems for casting and support equipment
  • Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, and related automation hardware/software
  • Support equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis of controls-related downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards in all controls designs and modifications
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on process improvements and capital projects
  • Document control architectures, drawings, and change management for instrumentation and automation systems
