CNC Lathe Machinist

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions seeks a Lathe Set Up Machinist to produce precision orthopedic components in a regulated medical device environment. You will set up and operate CNC and conventional lathes, interpret blueprints and GD&T, select tooling, adjust offsets, and verify dimensions using precision gauges. You'll document results per FDA/ISO standards, support root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and throughput. Collaborating with engineering and quality teams, you'll receive structured training and development while helping deliver life-enhancing orthopedic products worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional lathes to produce precision orthopedic components
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to determine machining requirements and tolerances
• Select tooling, set offsets, and adjust parameters to meet quality and productivity targets
• Inspect parts using precision measurement tools and document results per FDA/ISO standards
• Maintain equipment and tooling through routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements and nonconformance resolution
• Follow all safety, quality, and cleanliness requirements in a regulated medical device environment
• Participate in continuous improvement, 5
• S, and standard work initiatives to optimize throughput
