Assistant Restaurant Manager

SSP seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support Shake Shack operations in a fast-paced hospitality setting. You'll lead daily shifts, guide a diverse crew, and ensure exceptional guest experiences while upholding SSP's safety-first, team-focused culture. Responsibilities include overseeing front- and back-of-house activities, maintaining food quality and cleanliness, enforcing food safety standards, and resolving customer issues. You'll assist with scheduling, inventory, and cash handling, while coaching staff and supporting continuous improvement across the restaurant operation.

Responsibilities

• Support daily front- and back-of-house operations for a high-volume Shake Shack location
• Lead shifts: assign stations, monitor throughput, and ensure adherence to brand standards
• Deliver exceptional guest service, handling escalated customer issues professionally
• Coach, train, and mentor team members on procedures, service, and safety
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety standards
• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, cash handling, and daily reconciliations
• Help create and manage labor schedules to meet volume and budget targets
• Enforce SSP's safety-first culture and operational policies on every shift
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on performance feedback and staff development
• Support new process rollouts and continuous improvement initiatives
