Established precision sheet metal manufacturer in Fremont is seeking experienced Precision TIG Welders to support aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and commercial manufacturing programs. This role focuses on welding thin-gauge aluminum, stainless steel, and steel components in a fast-paced production environment. Schedule flexibility is important, as overtime may be required based on production demands.
Location: Fremont, CA (Fremont/Milpitas border)

- $28-$37/hour DOE
- Contract-to-perm opportunity for the right fit

Available schedules:
- Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm
- Swing Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm - 1:30am (4 x 10 schedule)
Responsibilities
- Perform precision TIG and MIG welding on thin-gauge aluminum, stainless steel, and steel components
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Build and assemble parts to specification while maintaining tight tolerances
- Verify weld quality, penetration, and appearance to meet customer and quality requirements
- Communicate with management, production control, quality, and other shop personnel regarding assignments and to resolve welding or quality issues
- Maintain a safe and organized work area in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Support production schedules while maintaining workmanship and quality expectations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of precision sheet metal (aluminum, stainless steel, steel) welding experience
- Strong TIG welding experience on thin-gauge aluminum and stainless steel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Strong understanding of welding safety practices and OSHA requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Pass onsite welding test: butt weld, fillet weld, and 90-degree bracket weld on sheet metal. Welds will be evaluated for quality, penetration, strength, and overall weld integrity, including bend testing.
