Senior Automotive Service Technician - Diagnostics

CarMax is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Technician to keep our used vehicle inventory safe, reliable, and ready for customers. In this on-site role, you'll perform complex diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and detailed inspections on a wide range of makes and models. You will use modern scan tools, technical data, and OEM specs while following strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a wide range of used vehicles
• Perform advanced inspections, testing, and quality checks to meet Car
• Max standards
• Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and OEM specifications to complete accurate repairs
• Complete scheduled maintenance, component replacements, and reconditioning work
• Document findings, parts used, and repair steps in the service system
• Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines
• Follow safety, environmental, and compliance procedures in the service shop
• Support training and mentoring of junior technicians as needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement of repair processes and shop efficiency
