PLC & Automation Supervisor - Manufacturing

Marvin is seeking a PLC & Automation Supervisor to lead the reliability and optimization of automated systems in our manufacturing facility. You will oversee PLC programming, HMI interfaces, industrial networks, and controls troubleshooting to keep production running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include guiding a small team of technicians, coordinating maintenance and upgrades, implementing continuous improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation and reliability of PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems on production lines
• Troubleshoot and resolve controls, electrical, and network issues to minimize downtime
• Supervise and mentor automation and maintenance technicians
• Plan and execute automation upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
• Collaborate with engineering and operations on process optimization and new equipment integration
• Maintain and update PLC/HMI programs, documentation, and backups
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards for automated equipment
• Develop and enforce preventive and predictive maintenance routines for automation assets
• Train production and maintenance staff on safe and effective use of automated systems
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment and controls failures
