Senior Substation Civil/Structural Engineer

Leidos is seeking a Substation Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team in the Energy & Utilities sector. You will lead the civil/structural design of high-voltage substations, including foundations, steel structures, equipment supports, grading, and site development. Responsibilities include preparing calculations and drawings, performing structural analysis, reviewing designs for code and client compliance, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with multi disciplinary teams. Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design for high-voltage substation projects
• Perform structural analysis and design of foundations and steel structures
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
• Coordinate with electrical, protection & control, and other discipline teams
• Oversee site development, grading, drainage, and foundation layouts
• Review vendor and construction submittals and respond to RFIs
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers and designers
• Support project planning, estimates, and proposal technical inputs
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to define and refine project scope
