Hospital Cook

Aramark seeks a Cook for 2nd shift at Highland Park Hospital to prepare quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will follow standardized recipes, meet dietary and safety standards, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. Responsibilities include hot and cold food prep, operating commercial equipment, monitoring temperatures, labeling and storing food, and supporting service lines. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot and cold menu items following standardized recipes and hospital dietary guidelines
• Set up, operate, and clean commercial kitchen equipment safely and correctly
• Monitor, record, and maintain proper food temperatures and holding times
• Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and infection-control standards in all work areas
• Portion, label, and store food properly to minimize waste and support inventory control
• Support patient, staff, and visitor meal service, ensuring quality, presentation, and timeliness
• Collaborate with dietitians and supervisors to meet special diets and allergen requirements
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift
• Follow safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and chemical handling
• Participate in training and continuous improvement efforts aligned with Aramark's service culture
