Restaurant Assistant Manager

Sonny's BBQ is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations and deliver genuine Southern hospitality. You'll help lead and coach team members, ensure a clean, safe, and friendly environment, and uphold our slow-smoked BBQ standards. Responsibilities include overseeing shifts, managing cash and inventory, supporting catering orders, and resolving guest concerns with a friendly, solution-focused approach. You'll model teamwork, support community-focused events, and help drive sales and service goals while growing your leadership skills in a laid-back, family-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

• Support daily restaurant operations and shift execution
• Lead, coach, and motivate front- and back-of-house team members
• Ensure excellent guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
• Assist with cash handling, deposits, and POS oversight
• Monitor inventory levels and support ordering and waste control
• Support catering orders and community-focused events
• Help train new team members and reinforce company standards
• Assist in meeting sales, labor, and service performance goals
• Model Sonny's BBQ culture and Southern hospitality on every shift
