Catheterization Laboratory Technician

HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Tech PRN (as-needed basis) to join our innovative cardiac team. The Cath Lab Tech will play a crucial role in our state-of-the-art catheterization labs at our facilities, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures that help in the accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of cardiovascular disease. Responsibilities

• Assist in performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures using various cardiac imaging technologies.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and answering questions to ensure comfort and compliance.
• Monitor and record patients' heart rates and blood pressures during procedures.
• Operate and care for equipment used in catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of procedures and outcomes following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including cardiologists and radiologists, to plan, evaluate, and improve treatment.
• Ensure the cath lab is stocked and prepared for emergencies.
