Occasional Babysitter / Mother's Helper

Sittercity is seeking a reliable Mother's Helper to support a family on occasional weekends for a few hours at a time. In this part-time role, you'll assist parents with hands-on childcare, playtime, light tidying of kids' areas, simple meal or snack prep, and basic routines such as diapers, naps, or bedtime. You'll prioritize safety, communicate clearly with parents, and provide warm, engaging care. This is an ideal role for a responsible sitter or nanny who enjoys flexible, occasional work helping families feel supported and at ease.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive care to children during occasional weekend hours
• Support parents with hands-on help during routines such as playtime, meals, naps, or bedtime
• Prepare simple snacks or meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Maintain a tidy environment in children's play and activity areas
• Follow family guidelines on routines, discipline, and screen time
• Communicate clearly with parents about activities, behavior, and any concerns
• Prioritize children's safety, monitoring for hazards and responding appropriately
• Arrive on time and reliably for scheduled weekend shifts
