Certified Peer Specialist Outpatient

Provide recovery-oriented peer support to adults and select adolescents experiencing mental health or substance use challenges. Share lived experience, facilitate individual and group support, build recovery skills, connect clients with community resources, and maintain accurate documentation in a collaborative outpatient program.

Responsibilities

• Share lived experience and recovery strategies as a positive role model.
• Provide one-on-one peer support and facilitate recovery-focused groups.
• Help individuals build wellness, coping, social, vocational, and daily living skills.
• Support clients in using the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
• Connect individuals with community resources, peer supports, and harm reduction services.
• Document client interactions and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
