Customer Solution Strategist

Smurfit WestRock seeks a Customer Solution Strategist to shape packaging solutions for key manufacturing customers. In this performance-driven, safety-focused environment, you will analyze customer operations, translate needs into sustainable paper-based packaging, and coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams. You will build data-backed business cases, optimize total cost of ownership, and lead solution design workshops. The role partners closely with sales and operations to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and long-term customer value across global consumer, e commerce, and industrial markets.

Responsibilities

• Consult with manufacturing customers to assess packaging and supply chain needs
• Translate customer requirements into sustainable paper-based packaging solutions
• Develop data-driven business cases and value analyses
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to deliver solutions
• Support sales teams in solution positioning, pricing, and proposals
• Lead customer workshops and presentations on solution design
• Monitor solution performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze operational data to optimize cost, quality, and service
• Coordinate implementation timelines and stakeholder communication
• Stay current on packaging, sustainability, and industry trends
