Assistant Director of Engineering

Supports the Director of Engineering in managing hotel facilities, maintenance operations, budgets, capital projects, safety, and energy conservation. Oversees daily engineering work, preventive maintenance, repair orders, building systems, inventory, and staff training while helping ensure regulatory compliance and excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and evaluate preventive maintenance and facility repair work.
• Supervise daily engineering operations, staff, contractors, and repair work orders.
• Maintain and operate building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, water treatment, and life safety equipment.
• Inspect facilities and grounds, assess maintenance needs, and arrange repairs, renovations, and equipment replacement.
• Support department budgets, capital expenditures, equipment purchasing, inventories, and energy conservation.
• Promote regulatory compliance, safety training, and excellent service for guests and employees.
