Fixed Route Operations Manager

MV Transportation is seeking a Fixed Route Operations Manager to lead daily bus operations for safe, reliable, and on-time service. In this role, you will oversee drivers, dispatch, and support staff; manage schedules, fleet assignments, and service changes; and ensure strict adherence to safety, DOT, and FTA requirements. You will track performance metrics, address incidents and customer issues, and collaborate with client agencies. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader committed to safety, teamwork, and dependable, community-focused transit service.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day fixed-route operations to ensure safe, reliable, on-time service.
• Supervise, schedule, and coach drivers, dispatchers, and operations staff.
• Monitor performance metrics, on-time performance, and service quality; implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT, FTA, and company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate fleet availability, vehicle assignments, and incident response.
• Collaborate with client agencies and internal departments on service needs and reporting.
• Handle customer service escalations and service disruptions professionally.
• Manage operating budgets, labor hours, and resource utilization.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training for frontline staff.
• Promote a culture of safety, respect, and community-focused service.
