Special Education School Director

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs seeks an Education Program Director to lead a nonpublic special-education school serving K-12 students with autism, emotional and behavioral challenges, and other special needs. The Director oversees academic and behavioral programs, IEP compliance, staff supervision, and school operations while fostering a safe, supportive learning environment. This role collaborates closely with clinicians, teachers, families, and district partners, drives data-informed instructional practices, ensures regulatory compliance, manages budgets, and champions a mission-driven, student-centered culture focused on meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall academic and behavioral programs for a K-12 special-education school
• Ensure IEP development, implementation, and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate teachers and support staff
• Collaborate with clinical, behavioral, and related services teams to support students
• Partner with families and district representatives to align goals and services
• Use data to drive instructional decisions and monitor student outcomes
• Oversee daily school operations, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Manage program budget and enrollment to meet organizational targets
• Maintain a safe, positive, and therapeutic school climate
• Support professional development and promote a mission-driven culture
