Controls Design Engineer, Data Center Engineering

AWS seeks a Controls Design Engineer to develop and maintain global Building Management System and Electrical Power Monitoring System standards for data centers. The role coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on new construction, retrofits, and support projects, producing specifications, design standards, and project scopes while improving consistency, cost, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BMS and EPMS specifications, controls points lists, and Basis of Design standards.
• Create project-specific scopes of work incorporating global design standards.
• Coordinate controls standards with construction teams, programmers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Apply data center mechanical, electrical, environmental controls, and redundancy knowledge to design work.
• Analyze single points of failure and apply energy, water conservation, and data reporting practices.
• Drive standardization and innovative solutions to reduce project costs, scope gaps, and schedule delays.
