CDL Class A Truck Driver

Ryder is seeking a dedicated and reliable CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team, providing top-tier transportation and logistics services. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck to fulfill daily delivery tasks.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, reporting any deficiencies.
• Plan best route options using knowledge of local and long-haul driving regulations.
• Document and log work/rest periods, mileage, fuel consumption, and other information, complying with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload cargo, securing loads to prevent damage, and observing all health and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch/operations staff to resolve any operational challenges or schedule changes.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all deliveries are done in a professional and timely manner.

Required Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver with manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Ability to handle physical workload necessary for loading and unloading goods.
• Skill in GPS and other digital route and vehicle monitoring systems.
