Work Environment

This role is based in a home care setting, allowing you to provide personalized therapy directly in the patients' home environments. You will be part of a collaborative team atmosphere that encourages discussion and learning among healthcare professionals. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a focus on flexible scheduling to accommodate patient needs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. A patient load of one individual per hour ensures you can give full attention and quality care to each patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient needs and set recovery goals, closely aligning treatments with those objectives.
• Administer effective therapy techniques aimed at enhancing mobility and reducing pain, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans that leverage a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to individual patient needs.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness programs, incorporating activities that address both physical rehabilitation and preventative care.
• Document patient progress accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education on health management, therapeutic exercises, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to create a holistic treatment approach and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering a supportive environment that instills confidence and dedication to their recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Restore Wellness, you will work primarily with adult patients who may be recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic conditions impacting their physical mobility and function. Your expertise will help patients to regain independence, improve strength, flexibility, and overall health. Understanding each patient's history and motivations is crucial in providing personalized and effective therapy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's or Doctorate degree (MPT or DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida with no records of disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in various manual therapy techniques and designing rehabilitation and exercise programs.
• Strong ability to utilize EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for patient documentation and progress tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly valued.
• Experience in home care therapy services, enhancing patient comfort and recovery in their own environment.
• Professional development in advanced therapeutic techniques or specialties will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal needs.
