Accounting Manager

Arlington, VA (Hybrid) | $120K – $140K + bonus

Our client, a well-established, privately held real estate and asset management firm, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations across its commercial and residential property portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for commercial and residential properties
• Lead month-end and year-end close
• Review budgets and financial dashboards for senior leadership
• Manage a team of two Senior Accountants and one AP Accountant
• Improve and automate accounting processes
• Meet monthly with Property Managers to review property financials
• Work on-site four days a week for the first three months, then hybrid with three days in office

Qualifications

• Real estate accounting experience (commercial preferred)
• Supervisory experience
• Strong Yardi skills
• A knack for process improvement and problem solving
• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
