Job Description
Duties:
· Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, as well as trial preparation.
· Manage and organize case files and documents using our document management system, CloudLex.
· Assisting attorney with preparation and service of medical review panel submissions.
· Gather relevant information to support case preparation.
· Prepare and maintain trial notebooks, exhibits, and other trial-related materials.
· Coordinate with assigned attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials.
· Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a litigation paralegal needed with a preference to a background in medical malpractice.
· Certificate or degree in paralegal studies.
· Proficient in using a document management system as well the Court’s filing systems of Odyssey and Pacer.
· Strong administrative skills with excellent phone etiquette and writing ability.
· Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
· Familiarity with file management and ability to keep cases moving forward so that efficient resolution can occur.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Proficient in data entry and computer software applications including Word and Adobe.
