Smokehouse Deli Counter Clerk

Lowes Foods is seeking a part-time Smokehouse Clerk for our Clayton, NC store. In this guest-facing role, you'll prepare, slice, weigh, and package smoked meats and related products while delivering warm, Southern hospitality. You'll keep cases stocked, fresh, and appealing, follow strict food safety and sanitation standards, and operate slicers, scales, and POS equipment safely. As part of a fun, community-focused team, you'll support promotions, sampling, and merchandising, help keep the department clean and organized, and ensure every guest leaves with a great experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive service at the smokehouse counter, greeting guests and answering product questions
• Slice, weigh, package, and label smoked meats, cheeses, and prepared items to order
• Maintain full, attractive product displays and rotate stock to ensure freshness and food safety
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards and complete required logs
• Operate slicers, scales, wrappers, and POS systems safely and accurately
• Assist with daily prep, marinating, seasoning, and reheating of smoked products per recipes
• Keep work areas, cases, and equipment clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Support weekly promotions, sampling, and merchandising initiatives to drive sales
• Communicate low stock, guest requests, and equipment issues to supervisors promptly
• Work collaboratively with store teammates to ensure a welcoming, efficient shopping experience
