Engineering Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Assist hotel engineering team with routine maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Perform scheduled inspections, basic troubleshooting, and minor fixes in guest rooms and public areas
• Support senior engineers during equipment diagnostics, installations, and emergency repairs
• Follow safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and Marriott maintenance standards
• Document work performed using maintenance systems and communicate issues promptly
• Collaborate with housekeeping and front office to minimize guest disruption
• Participate in technical training, mentorship, and skill-building sessions
• Maintain tools, workshop areas, and equipment in clean, safe condition
• Respond to basic guest service requests related to room maintenance
• Support energy-efficiency and preventive maintenance programs
