Regional Director of Transportation Safety

Transdev is seeking a Regional Director of Safety to lead safety strategy and performance across our transportation and warehousing operations. In this role, you will design and implement safety programs, ensure OSHA/DOT and local regulatory compliance, and drive a proactive safety culture across multiple sites. You will analyze incident trends, lead root-cause investigations, and partner with operations leaders to reduce risk. The Regional Director of Safety will develop and deliver training, coach local safety teams, support audits, and champion continuous improvement that protects employees, customers, and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional safety strategy and implementation across transportation and warehousing operations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Develop, maintain, and improve safety policies, procedures, and standards for multiple sites
• Analyze safety data and incident trends to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
• Lead and support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and follow-up action plans
• Plan and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and coaching for managers and frontline staff
• Conduct and oversee safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across facilities and fleets
• Partner with operations leadership to integrate safety into daily practices and performance metrics
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, response planning, and drills within the region
• Promote a strong safety culture that aligns with Transdev's values of safety, service, and community impact
