Youth and Adolescent Family Therapist

As a Family Therapist, you provide individual and family therapy for adolescents and caregivers in home and residential settings. You conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and use evidence-based interventions to strengthen family systems. You collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a specialized youth residential and educational environment to support emotional, behavioral, and relational growth for high-needs youth and their families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and family therapy using evidence-based practices
• Develop and update treatment plans to support youth and family systems
• Conduct clinical assessments and document progress notes accurately
• Collaborate with clinicians, educators, and residential staff on care plans
• Provide therapeutic support in home and residential program settings
• Engage caregivers in sessions to improve communication and relationships
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations
• Recognize and respond appropriately to youth and family crises
