ASE Master Automotive Service Technician - Automotive Retail

CarMax is hiring an Automotive Technician ASE Master Certified for our 2nd shift team in Richmond. In this role, you'll perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a wide range of used vehicles, ensuring safety, quality, and reliability for our customers. You'll use state-of-the-art tools, follow strict safety and integrity standards, and document all work thoroughly. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC issues on a wide range of used vehicles
• Perform brake, suspension, engine, drivetrain, and steering repairs to ASE Master standards
• Conduct multipoint inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
• Use computerized scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex issues
• Document all work performed, parts used, and recommendations in repair orders accurately
• Follow Car
• Max safety, quality, and integrity standards on every vehicle serviced
• Collaborate with service teammates and leaders to meet production and quality goals on 2nd shift
• Support training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the service team
