Peer Recovery Support Specialist - Substance Use Recovery

Tadiso Incorporated seeks a Recovery Support Specialist to provide non-clinical support, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals in opioid use recovery. Working within our Community & Social Services team, you will help clients navigate outpatient medication-assisted treatment, facilitate recovery-focused groups, support care coordination, and connect clients with community resources. The role includes documenting services, collaborating with counselors, nurses, and physicians, and modeling recovery-oriented behavior. Ideal candidates are empathetic, organized, culturally sensitive, and committed to client-centered, evidence-based addiction treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one recovery support and mentorship to individuals in opioid use treatment.
• Assist clients with navigating Tadiso's medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and supportive services.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery-focused groups and educational sessions.
• Coordinate with counselors, nurses, physicians, and case managers to support individualized recovery plans.
• Connect clients to community resources such as housing, employment, education, and social services.
• Advocate for clients' needs while promoting self-advocacy and empowerment.
• Document services and client interactions accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with agency policy.
• Model recovery-oriented, professional behavior and maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Support client engagement, retention in treatment, and relapse prevention efforts.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance services.
