Smokey Point Distributing is seeking a safety-minded Over-Dimensional Truck Driver to haul high-value, delicate freight nationwide. Operate flatbed and step-deck equipment, inspect and secure loads, plan routes, follow permit and DOT requirements, and communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure reliable deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely transport over-dimensional and high-value freight using flatbed and step-deck trailers.
- Inspect and secure cargo, trailers, and equipment before, during, and after trips.
- Plan routes and comply with permits, size and weight restrictions, and applicable regulations.
- Complete required inspections, logs, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, and support staff regarding schedules and delivery status.
- Maintain professional, safety-focused service and report equipment or cargo issues promptly.
