Senior Electrical Design Engineer (PE)

OBrien Industries Inc seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer/PE with DoD experience to lead design of engineered products for industrial and utility clients. You will own power and control system design, perform calculations, and ensure compliance with DoD and industry standards. Partner closely with mechanical and fabrication teams to deliver buildable, reliable solutions. Support proposals, testing, and field issues while mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for engineered products and custom fabrication projects for industrial and utility clients
• Develop detailed power, control, and grounding schematics meeting Do
• D and relevant industry standards
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and protection coordination for new and retrofit systems
• Review specifications, drawings, and submittals to ensure compliance with customer, Do
• D, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are buildable and cost-effective
• Support proposals, estimates, and technical documentation for bids and project reviews
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and design reviews for junior engineers and designers
• Participate in on-site reviews, factory testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems as needed
